Rakan joined Capstone in August 2025 as an Associate on the Capital Markets team.
He recently graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, earning a degree in Economics. He has previous internship experience in corporate venture capital where he assisted in making investment decisions in the energy sector. While at Berkeley, Rakan also worked part time at a fintech startup where he assisted the growth team in raising capital.
Originally from Dubai, United Arab Emirates, Rakan now resides in New York City.
