Bethany joined Capstone’s Financial Services team as a Senior Associate in 2023. She previously spent over a year in the insurance industry, representing Allianz of America Corporation’s Federal Government and External Affairs division and covered a wide range of financial services policy and regulatory topics such as cyber insurance, digital assets, ESG and retirement security. Prior to that, Bethany worked on transportation policy efforts within the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure and managed a consulting project on autonomous vehicle policy for the Oregon Department of Transportation’s Office of Innovation. She also has experience working in a variety of state government offices, with legislative and communication roles on behalf of the Oregon Governor, Oregon State Treasury Department and Oregon Legislature.
She received a Master of Arts in Strategy, Cybersecurity and Intelligence Studies from the Johns Hopkins School for Advanced International Studies and completed her Bachelor of Arts in Civic Communication and Media from Willamette University. Originally from Oregon, Bethany now lives in Washington, D.C.
