We asked Sara a few questions about her Capstone career:
WHAT DOES YOUR JOB ENTAIL?
I am responsible for managing Capstone’s European private equity clients’ book and leading our business development efforts. I focus primarily on clients investing in energy, industrials, and infrastructure.
WHAT DID YOU DO BEFORE CAPSTONE?
I managed GLG’s European event-driven business. My role mainly entailed monitoring M&A activity, and speaking with industry executives and regulators to help my clients performing due diligence. Before that, I spent a few years in equity sales focusing primarily on merger arbitrage.
WHAT DO YOU ENJOY MOST ABOUT YOUR ROLE?
I find looking for new business incredibly exciting. Identifying prospects, understanding how we can fit into their due diligence workstream, and pitching our value proposition is what really drives me.
WHAT IS AN EXCITING PROJECT YOU WORKED ON RECENTLY?
We have recently advised Cinven on its acquisition of Bayer Environmental Science Professional, a global leader in specialty pest management. I really enjoyed being involved in the scoping of this project from the very beginning and working with Cinven’s deal team!
