Janis is a Senior Associate on the European Corporate Advisory team, supporting corporate clients with global business models navigate policy and political issues to deliver on their commercial objectives.
She joins Capstone from Global Counsel, where she was a Senior Associate in the Trade and Industrial Policy Practice and specialised in the nexus between trade, health and industrial policy. Prior to Global Counsel, Janis was Head of Economic Policy at the Confederation of British industry, where she combined economic analysis and policy development to design advocacy strategies for British corporates around fiscal events.
Janis also worked as a free trade agreement negotiator at the Department for Business and Trade, representing the UK in negotiations with the United States, Australia, CPTPP, and as a delegate to the WTO Government Procurement Agreement.
She is a Politics and International Relations graduate from the University of Bath, and holds a Master’s degree in Economics from Queen Mary University of London.
