After graduating from Morehouse, Greg joined Citi as an Investment Banker and announced the fifth-largest deal in the industrials market. Although he had seen a lot of success in his role, he wanted to transition into an advisory role and become a true subject matter expert. Joining Capstone felt like the perfect next step in his career, especially since he had experience on the governmental side when he interned on the hill.
In his current role, he uses his investment banking client servicing expertise to help pitch investment ideas to his managers and clients in the Energy space. His role requires him to be more meticulous and intellectually curious, which allows him to influence his clients to make the right decisions. Capstone has cut a lot of the nonsensical aspects of his previous role and helps him have more collaborative and seamless relationships with his colleagues. Greg wants to continue to grow and achieve promotion in the clean energy transition sector, and transfer to our global offices one day.
Greg is also part of an impactful nonprofit organization, First Generation Investors, which teaches high school students the power of investing. Thanks to our monthly Lunch & Learns, Greg shared with his colleagues at Capstone the importance of this nonprofit and all the work he has contributed to it thus far. Also, one of his other favorite events is the ping-pong tournament with the Energy team, which was competitive and fun.
