Maxwell joined Capstone in 2015 and leads the firm’s health care practice. Within health care, he concentrates on managed care, hospitals, behavioral health, pharmaceutical manufacturers and the drug supply chain. Max has advised clients on investments in the behavioral health, managed care and pharmaceutical space. Beyond his work in health care, Max also serves as Capstone’s senior tax analyst, covering international and domestic corporate tax reform, individual tax reform, 355 spin-offs and REIT conversions. Prior to joining Capstone, Max worked as a member of Grant Thornton’s Corporate Advisory and Restructuring Services Group, where he advised clients on operational improvements, strategic scenario assessments and financial planning and analysis. During that time, Max gained valuable advisory experience in the health care, gaming, manufacturing and real estate spaces. He received degrees in Finance and History from Tulane University and an MBA with a concentration in Corporate Finance from the University of North Carolina’s Kenan-Flagler Business School. Max lives in Washington, DC with his son, Whitley.
