Laura joined Capstone in 2019 and is an Analyst on the Healthcare Team. Prior to joining Capstone, Laura worked in Policy and Regulatory Affairs for a UnitedHealth’s Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM): OptumRx. Prior to that, Laura worked for the Pharmaceutical Care Management Association, a PBM trade association in Washington, DC. She has covered US health policy areas ranging across the drug supply chain, Medicaid, Medicare Part D, medical devices, maternal health outcomes as well as government policy impacting the National Health Service (NHS), NHS England and National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) in the UK. In 2017, she testified before the New Hampshire Senate Commerce Committee on the topic of credentialing and accreditation of pharmacies. Her work experience includes time with Chatham House, Royal Institute of International Affairs, (an independent policy institute based in London), as well as time in the US House of Representatives’ Office of Congressional Ethics. She also holds a MA in the History of Medicine from University College London and a BA from American University.
