Charlie is the Head of Capstone’s Private Markets Group, where he plays a leading role advising corporate and private markets clients across Capstone’s universe of coverage areas. Since joining the firm in 2019, Charlie has led or played a major role in dozens of strategy and due diligence engagements—including a focus on the energy transition; environmental, social, and governance (ESG); infrastructure; consumer finance; tax; and business services.

Prior to joining Capstone, Charlie worked in management consulting serving public sector clients and focusing on financial management and supply chain optimization. As a graduate student, he served in two roles at the US Department of the Treasury—one focusing on consumer finance research and the other on Middle East fiscal and trade policy. As an undergraduate, Charlie also worked in the press office at the US Department of State’s Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs.

Charlie holds an M.A. in international affairs and economics from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies. He graduated from Georgetown University with a B.S. in foreign service. Since 2018, Charlie has volunteered with Community Tax Aid providing no-cost bilingual tax preparation services to low-income taxpayers in Washington, DC. Charlie is a CFA charterholder. Originally from Minnesota, Charlie lives in Washington, DC.
