Jack joined Capstone in 2021 and is an Analyst on the Energy and Industrials team. He has advised clients on electricity markets in California and Texas, electric vehicle manufacturing and supply chain development, battery storage, utilities, and rooftop solar policy.
Before joining Capstone, Jack worked in the power and energy trading industry, where he primarily focused on the long-term and day-ahead electricity congestion markets for the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT). He has also worked in a research capacity focused on international trade at Duke University and at a local environmental nonprofit focused on chemicals, energy, and agricultural policy.
Jack graduated from Duke with a B.S. in economics and a B.A. in environmental sciences and policy. He researched the effects of European Union carbon credits on electricity markets as part of a dual thesis between both majors. Born in Memphis, TN, and raised near Baltimore, MD, Jack currently lives in Washington, DC.
