Brynn Hammond

Senior Associate

Brynn joined Capstone in 2021 as an Analyst in the Private Markets Research Group. She advises both private equity and corporate clients on complex geopolitical dynamics such as the impact of economic sanctions, the influence of the executive and the legislative branch on international policy issues, and she conducts due diligence in the US and emerging markets on questions of economic and foreign policy. She also conducts domestic policy analysis at the state and local levels, with a focus on energy policies that strengthen the US industrial base.

Prior to joining Capstone, Brynn was a Legislative Analyst at O’Brien, Gentry & Scott, where she provided policy analysis to a broad portfolio of defense industry and national security clients. Her previous employment includes the venture capital firm DFJ, and various national security and foreign policy focused internships.

Brynn holds an M.A. in global security studies from Johns Hopkins University and a B.A. in political science and Spanish from the University of Nevada, Reno. She currently resides in Washington, DC.
