Alex joined Capstone in 2017 and is an analyst on the health care team. She covers issues relating to health care reform, covering managed care, the pharmaceutical supply chain and long-term care. Prior to joining Capstone, Alex worked as a research analyst at Dobson DaVanzo & Associates, a health economics and policy consulting firm, where she provided clients with quantitative and qualitative analysis on the effects of existing and proposed health care payment reforms. Her work focused on alternative payment models and proposed payment reforms that impacted the post-acute care space, including skilled nursing facilities, home health, inpatient rehabilitation facilities and long-term care hospitals. Previously, Alex worked on a government contract with the National Institutes of Health National Cancer Institute, where she reviewed clinical trials in prevention, early detection and the management of symptoms related to cancer and its treatments. Alex received degrees in Foreign Affairs and African American Studies and an MPP from the University of Virginia. She lives in Arlington, Virginia.
