Goldenberg, a highly respected expert on defense and the Middle East, will join Capstone as a senior advisor
Washington, DC, 4/21/21— Ilan Goldenberg, Former Senior Fellow and Director of the Middle East Security Program at the Center for a New American Security, has joined Capstone LLC, a global policy and regulatory due diligence firm, as a senior advisor.
Goldenberg, a seasoned foreign policy and defense expert, boasts decades of experience engaging with Middle Eastern and defense policies. Most recently, he acted as a Senior Fellow and Director of the Middle East Security Program at the Center for A New American Security, where he covered the Middle East and interacted with government officials and experts in the region. Previously, Goldenberg served as the Chief of Staff to the Special Envoy for Israeli-Palestinian Negotiations at the U.S. Department of State. He has also served as a Senior Professional Staff Member on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and as a Special Advisor and Iran Team Chief in the Office of the Under-Secretary of Defense for Policy.
Furthermore, Goldenberg was a founding member and Policy Director for the National Security Network, a nonprofit organization dedicated to pragmatic and principled foreign policy approaches. He began his career as a financial analyst at CitiGroup Investment Banking covering the oil and gas industry. His work has appeared in numerous publications, including the Washington Post, Foreign Affairs, Foreign Policy, Politico, Slate, the Daily Beast, Vox, War on the Rocks, and the National Interest.
